My mini AG dolls....

My temptation got the better of me; I just couldn't pass them up.   In February 2014; I purchased my first AG mini doll ~ Samantha.  And the other day; I purchased two more AG mini dolls off of EBay, again.  I bought a two doll combo package; two NEW dolls sealed in their boxes, another Samantha and Nellie.  I am so excited; they should be arriving any day now.  Since I have two Samantha's; I am going to name the second one, Rebekah.  So in their future home; the Beacon Hill mansion, there will be three little girls (Samantha, Rebekah and Nellie).  Gosh; there are so many rooms, each girl will have their own bedroom.

I was looking on blogs and YouTube; regarding the construction of the Beacon Hill dollhouse kit and I think I will start the assembly process, right away.  One man mentioned that it took him 8 months to construct this house.  I have book marked a lot of helpful information with photos on the construction.  After doing my hardwood flooring technique on my current dollhouse project (The Orchid Kit); I am going to do the same thing on the mansion.  The hard wood floors will take me a while.  It took me three months do get that look; the hardwood floors.  I cut up strips of card stock; glued each piece down, one by one.  Then I did a painting technique to get the look that I wanted for the hardwood floors.  Then I put three coats of polyurethane on top of that.   I am not sure if I will pre-wallpaper the walls or assemble the whole house and then do my wall paper and painting.  In the instructions; it says that one can do it either way.  Usually; I pre-wallpaper my walls, but for this particular kit, I am thinking that if I assemble first, it will go together better.  I think I will do is go ahead and cut my wall paper to fit (just as I would doing the pre-wallpapering) and then paste it into place after the shell is up.  I want this to be really special; something that I will be proud of and pass down to future grandkids.  If they are boys... they can pass it down to their kids.

The girls will be living in a house identical to this one! The colors may be a little different but this is the house! CLICK here to see their new future home.
