Welcome To My Website

January 9, 2016; Saturday 3:11PM ~ OKC Time

It has been a while since I have posted on my blog.  So much has happened since I last blogged here.  I forgot about my blog and my daughter-in-law had mentioned that she gave the link of it to one of her friends.  I totally forgot about this and was not sure if I could find it again.

I moved to the OKC area late March 2015.  It has taken me some time to adjust to my new life in the city; moving up here from a small town.  I must say that I love it here.  There is much more to offer in this area shopping wise and eating places.

The dollhouse that I was working on back in 2014; I worked on it for two years and sold it on EBay Christmas 2014.  I mentioned it and inserted a link to the YouTube video footage of the finished project; on another page of my blog.

I am currently working on another dollhouse project that I started November 28, 2015.  I have put a lot of hours into it.  I am taking a little break from it and will be doing the finishing touches which is staining the shingles and gluing them on the roof.  I will be posting photos of from start to finish; soon in "Dollhouse Projects & Sewing For Mini Dolls" Page.

Have a Blessed Happy New Year;
Michelle

I Dream In Miniature!

     Welcome to my blog.  I am a divorced single mother of one; he has moved out.  Soon; I will be turning his former bedroom into my new "Dollhouse Hobby Room".  I have already moved three tall shelves; a heavy table, my art supplies and miniatures up the stairs into this room.  :)  I pulled a muscle in my neck; but it was well worth it.  The pain has come and gone; my neck is fine.

In the beginning; I started out collecting the 15" tall Gene Marshall dolls.  I have about five of them and Matt doll (their boyfriend).  I really loved their Hollywood costumes; most are themes from real old movies.

Then I started another new hobby; assembling dollhouses in quarter scale.  I assembled about three; made the tiny furniture and miniatures from polymer clay.  The little girl next door fell in love with my work.  Her mother asked if I would assemble a 1" scale dollhouse for her daughter.  I did; it was the "Orchid" dollhouse kit.  I had so much fun doing that; I wanted a special dollhouse for my own.  I got excited about collecting various dollhouse miniatures and the dollhouse scaled dolls.  On this blog; I will be showing photos of my various collections (dollhouses; dolls and miniatures).
